Helping teams design data products that are clear, engaging, and useful.

Hi! I’m Valerie, an analytics product designer with 12+ years of cross-sector experience designing dashboards and data products for executives, clinicians, community teams, and more.

I bring a collaborative, transparent, and iterative approach to every project. I partner closely with users, stakeholders, and analytics teams to make sure designs align with real workflows, support good decision-making, and reduce complexity instead of adding to it.

“Working with Valerie transformed my previous program and my workload. She designed a dashboard that streamlined my workflow, automated half of my manual tasks, and brought our impact to life in real time. Her support not only protected me from burnout, but also gave us powerful tools to secure funding and showcase the program’s value.”

Dr. Fateme Rajabiyazdi, Assistant Professor, Interactions Lab (iLab) & Department of Computer Science, University of Calgary

“I had the pleasure of having Valerie lead a guest workshop in my Advanced Visualization course for graduate students (Master’s and PhD). Valerie created an engaging and highly interactive learning environment that encouraged active participation and critical thinking.

After the session, several students reached out to me to share how much they learned and how valuable they found her workshop. I also observed many of them applying the visualization techniques Valerie taught in their course projects later in the term, demonstrating the lasting impact of her teaching.

Her ability to connect with students, explain design concepts clearly, and inspire them to put theory into practice was truly impressive. Valerie’s contribution to my course greatly enriched the learning experience.”
